2. How we use your information

3. Payment processing (Stripe)
All payment transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. When you make a payment on LegalLawDocs.com, your credit card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure interface and transmitted directly to Stripe's servers.
We do not store your full credit card number, CVC, or expiration date on our servers. We receive only a tokenized reference from Stripe that allows us to process future charges (for subscriptions) or issue refunds. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
5. Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations:
- Account data: Retained for the life of your account. Upon account deletion, your personal information is deleted or anonymized within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Generated documents: Stored in your account until you delete them. You may download and delete your documents at any time from your dashboard.
- Transaction records: Retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping obligations.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit, encryption of sensitive data at rest, SOC 2 compliance, regular security audits, and strict access controls limiting employee access to personal data.
While we take these measures seriously, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use our services at your own risk.
